did the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم resolve the issue?
The
Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم
resolved
the issue by suggesting a very suitable plan.

Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم resolved the issue by suggesting a very
reasonable plan. He put the black stone on a piece of cloth and asked the four
representatives of different tribes to carry it near to the Holy Kaaba. When
they did so, the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم picked up the black stone and set it at fixed place.
2. Why did Quraish think that the Holy Prophet
صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم would favour them?
As
the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم
himself belonged to the tribe of Quraish, they thought that he would favour
them.

not to decide any matter without hearing both the parties and without knowing
the truth.
