1.   How did the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم resolve the issue?
The Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم resolved the issue by suggesting a very suitable plan.
OR
The Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم  resolved the issue by suggesting a very reasonable plan. He put the black stone on a piece of cloth and asked the four representatives of different tribes to carry it near to the Holy Kaaba. When they did so, the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم picked up the black stone and set it at fixed place.
2.  Why did Quraish think that the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم would favour them?
As the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم himself belonged to the tribe of Quraish, they thought that he would favour them.
OR
They thought so because the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم belonged to the tribe of Quraish.
3.  Why did Non - Muslims trust the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم ?
The Non - Muslims trusted the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم as he was well - known for his justice.
OR
Because they were certain of the Holy Prophet's صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم honesty, truthfulness and Justice.
4.  What advice did the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم  give to Hazrat Ali?
The Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم advised Hazrat Ali رضي الله تعالى عنه not to decide any matter without hearing both the parties and without knowing the truth.
OR
When two men come to you for judgement never decide in favour of one without hearing the other.
5.   What does the world “Proclaimed” mean?
The proclaim means to declare something in a formal manner or in an open way.
OR
It means “To Announce”.
