“Slavery is a curse” is an
oft-quoted proverb. It means slavery is hostile and it brings invectives and
unhappiness. There is no doubt in it that freedom is one of the greatest donations
of God.
Milton
has said,
“Better
to the dynasty in Hell than serve in Heaven.”
It
is far better to be a master in an aggressive, place than to be a slave in an enjoyable
place. There is a notable story to outline the reality of this saying.
Once
there was a person. He had a dog which was very healthy. One night the dog was nomadic
in the streets of a village. All of a sudden, he encountered a wolf which was nomadic
in search of some food. The dog was very stout and healthy because his master provided
him good food. The wolf was very thin and lean because he had to remain without
food very often. The wolf said,
"How
could it be that you are so solid and stout?"
The
dog told him,
"I
retain track of my lord's home throughout evening time and he awards me adequate
food to eat”. If you live with me and guard my master's house, you will also
have good food and you will also become fat and healthy”.
The
wolf decided to work in return for food. When they were going to the house of the dog's master, the wolf's eyes fell on the reedy hair of the dog’s neck,
“Why
has the hair on your neck ratty?”
asked
he. The dog tried to put him off but, on his
insistence, he had to tell him the real matter. He told the wolf,
"My
duke realm a collar round my neck when he straps in the dawn so that may not amble.
Consequently, the hair on my neck nerves on falling”.
The
wolf was greatly astonished to hear about the collar and the chain. He thought
for a while and said to the dog.
"Many
gratitude for your sympathy and cordialness. I do not wish that food for which
have to atonement my freedom. I can buck hunger but I cannot buck to be a slave”.
Saying
this, the wolf took off to the wilderness.
Moral:
- Slavery is a curse.
- Freedom in hell is better than slavery in heaven.
