Dear Sir,
We daily travel from Multan to Bahawalpur and back. I wish to bring to your
notice the problems that we daily face.
Functionaries of GTS are involved in serious irregularities and
misappropriation. The large wagons that ply between Multan and Bahawalpur do
not abide by any rules or regulations. Many a time, tickets are not issued
either at the stand or inside the wagon. However, fares are collected from all. I
may point out that the fares of these wagons are more than those on ordinary
buses, with no extra comfort or advantage.
These wagons are overloaded and stop wherever passengers are seen on the road.
The result is that they take much longer time than other private vehicles.
Owing to the bad service, on the number of passengers travelling by GTS is
reducing each day.
You
are requested to probe into the matter to prevent misappropriation and
irregularities. If some suitable steps are taken, the people will get better
transport facilities.
