1. Introduction
- Meaning: Teaching of boys and girls together in the same institution.
- First started in Switzerland, now popular all over the world.
- Some advantages, some disadvantages.
2. Advantages:
- Economical: Same staff and same building for both.
- Boys and girls understand each other, useful in future.
- Competition in studies.
- Boys more civilized, girls more bold.
3. Disadvantages:
- Free mixing of sexes, not allowed by religions.
- Chances of corruption.
- Unhealthy competition in fashions.
- Bad effect on teaching.
4. Conclusion:
- May be allowed at Primary Stage, and in Professional Colleges.
- Not allowed in colleges of general education.
- Separate duties in life, so separate education.
