National Unity
As food and clothing are essential for the body, National unity is also inevitable for the survival of our nation. National unity is deeply related to the ideology of a country. A nation must be united to make progress in different fields of life. The most serious problem faced by the Pakistanis today is the lack of unity on national level. We know :
' United we stand, divided we fall'.
Still, we lack in unity. The sorrow is that we do not consider ourselves Pakistanis first. We are Punjabis, Balochis, Pakhtuns, and Sindhis first and then we are Pakistanis. Let us highlight the importance of national unity and also discuss how to create unity in us.
Our neighbour India is our bitter enemy. She has not recognised Pakistan honestly. She is always conspiring how to wipe Pakistan from the map of the world. Now, after the American attack at Afghanistan, India has also found the open chance to send terrorists to Pakistan through Afghanistan. In this way, we are exposed to danger from the worst enemy India. She has already attacked us twice and can attack us any-time.
Pakistan is a Muslim country. It is hoped that the candle of Islam will be lit again from Pakistan. Many of our Ulama are always working for the uplift of Islam. Contrary to it, all the Pagans are one Nation according to Hadith. They cannot tolerate Islam to flourish in Pakistan or in any other country. They have established special cells that inspire and work how to weaken the Muslims and Islam. For this purpose, they spread agents in Pakistan who always try to spread sectarianism. India is at war with us on the Kashmir issue. No doubt, both Pakistan and India atomic powers. But an open war is not always the right solution to every problem. If we are United, our enemy can never think of attacking us. In order to achieve unity, we should take the following steps.
First, all the Pakistanis are the followers of the same religion. They have been living together for centuries. Therefore, they should solve their religious differences in a proper way. They should tolerate the people of other sects and should not cut their throats.
Second, the rule of law should prevail over the country. Everyone should be provided with justice. Pakistan comprises five provinces. Its people speak different languages and put on different dresses. If justice is done with all the people living in all the provinces, they will be united. We should provide all the provinces with equal sources of progress. No province should be allowed to make progress at the expense of the others. Each province should deal with justice, fair play, goodwill and love.
Third, in our country, people speak different languages. They should be allowed to speak their mother tongues at the local level. But at the national level, only one language that is Urdu should be enforced. Then people should be convinced to speak Urdu only.
Fourth, our faithful adherence to the ideology of Pakistan can also play an important role in uniting us. Our national ideology is Islam. Pakistan was established in the name of Islam. Only Islam can be the guarantee of its survival. Islam gives us the lesson of unity, faith and discipline. It stresses that all the Muslims are brothers to one another. The enjoy equal rights because all are equal in the eyes of Allah. There is no scope for social distinction in Islam. There is no caste, creed or colour system in Islam. The Master and slave have equal rights. Islam does not allow economic exploitation to anyone. We can bring prosperity in the country only by following Islam and enforcing it in our social, political and economic life because Islam is a complete code of life. It brings all humanity to one level. Hence, we conclude that Islam is the only binding force that can cause our national unity.
