Manager Pakistan Television Corporation complaining against IPL Cricket matches
shown on the TV.

Dear Sir,
I wish to
attract your attention to a very serious problem. I hope you will take some
positive steps to save the time of our students.
Whenever a IPL
match starts, it is shown on the TV from morning to evening. Students are
tempted to watch these IPL Matches. They give up their studies and sit glued to
the ZEE TV. When cricket matches for being telecast, students do not often
attend their classes, and ignore their studies altogether. The result is that
the standard of education is continuously falling. Entertainment is, no doubt,
necessary, but not at the cost of studies.
I, therefore,
request you to ban Cricket Matches on TV. If, for some reason, or because of
pressure from the viewers, only highlights of these matches should be shown. This
will save a lot of student’s time.
