A
letter of advice to your younger brother.

Dear Muhammad,
It is hoped that you
will be hale and hearty. Your letter shows that you are home sick. Your marks
were so low. Let it be a lesson for you that you have to work harder than ever.
And “There
is no gain without pain.” You have to fight for your future. Away from
the family, you are away from every check. So take care of your time by
yourself. Every moment is a part of life, it's life. Don't waste your life. We
get it only once. "A moment lost is lost forever."
You are the hope of your parents. They have worked very hard for
your betterment. Answer their efforts sincerely and fully. Man is made of
marred by his company. Always be with good friends. They bring you good or bad
name.
"Man is known by the company he keeps." Bad boys defame you. You are lured by their bad habits of
smoking, wandering, bunking classes and the like. Anyone who tends to mar your
studies and thereby your future, is your enemy, not friend.
Respect your teacher. Bear in mind the proverb: "Respectful,
successful." Ask them anything you don't understand. Avoid cramming readymade
notes. Take guidance from them.
Learn to write correctly. Plan your studies. Do not indulge in
computer overly. Use computer as we use a library, open the book we need and see
what we need to read there. Otherwise, computer will eat into your days and
nights. Always say your prayers regularly. This is our first duty as Muslims.
Follow my advice and enjoy the fruit all your life. We all pray
for your success.
Yours
affectionately,
Wasif Malik
