(Jan

(Text
& Explanation)
Reference:
These lines have been
taken from the poem "A Sindhi Woman" written by “Jan Stallworthy”
Context:
This is a tributary
poem in which the poet acknowledges a simple and hardworking Sindhi Woman. She goes
erect with a jar on her head through the ups and downs of the way. The poet
concludes that only those persons stand most straight, who learn to walk beneath
the weight. The poet tries to tell the readers that we should face the
hardships of life bravely.
