The King And a Spider
Robert Bruce was the king of Scotland. he was very brave and courageous. He fought many battles against the British. He was defeated many times by the English. In one of the battles, he was badly defeated. He had to run away to save his life. The English soldiers followed him. But he did not come into their hands. He gave up the idea of fighting against the English forever.
One day he was sitting in a cave.he was thinking about the causes of his defeat. He saw that a spider fell down from its cobweb. It took a little rest and begin to climb up the ceiling. It once again fell down. The spider tried 9 times to reach its cobweb. But it fell down sooner than before. Robert Bruce thought that the spider would not climb up now. But to his surprise, it begin to climb up again. It went higher slowly and steadily. At last, it reached its home.
The king was greatly inspired by this incident. He made up his mind to try once again. The king came out of the cave with fresh vigour add energy. He collected his army and fought with the English sche once again with full determination. This time he won and freed his country from the enemy.
