The night mail brings letters to all kinds of people. It climbs up the
hilly land giving out white smoke. The night mail crosses the border between
Scotland and England. It brings cheque and letters from different classes of
people. It brings messages to the rich and poor, shopkeepers and girls in their
homes. Birds and Dogs do not care about it. The people go on sleeping, and
nothing unusual happens.
