Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily,
I want to bring into the kind notice of the public as well as the authorities
to the heinous crime of Honor killing. This is an ultimate result of our feudal
and illiterate society. The people are following the old and cruel traditions
of the age of ignorance. They are treating women has scapegoat for the
restoration of their so-called honor and dignity. So many women are put to
death without any rationale.
Our government has rightly taken legal
action against this heinous crime. But the need of time is that such cases when
brought to the court should be properly substantiated. Police department and
other law enforcing agencies should follow the court proceedings honestly and
thoroughly. So that criminals may not be escaped from punishments. Moreover,
electronic and print media should also play its important role to crush this
heinous crime.
I hope you will give proper space to my
letter and feelings so that it may reach the maximum people.
