A
LION AND A MOUSE
The story of a lion and
a mouse shows that every creature of Allah is significant. Even a tiny creature
may be helpful and useful. We should never look down upon anything or any
creature. Everything has its importance. No one is inferior to anyone else.
This story explains the moral that nothing is inferior in this world and one good turn deserves another.
Once there lived a lion
in a jungle. Being the king of the jungle he always looked down upon the other animals.
He was enjoying a sound sleep in the cool shade of a tree. There was a hole in
a mouse near the tree. The mouse came out of its hole and began to play on the
body of the lion. The lion woke up and saw the mouse dancing on his body. He
became angry. A tiny creature had dared to disturb his sleep. The lion was
about to kill the mouse. He took the mouse in his paw and said. "Why did
you jump on my body?" The mouse requested the lion to forgive it for its
folly. I might help you someday. The lion let the mouse go. He did not believe
that a tiny creature could help the king of the jungle, He hated the mouse.
One day the same lion
was caught in a net. He tried his best to set himself free but could not. He
was roaring in a loud voice. By chance, the same mouse came there. It saw the lion
on the net. It at once started to gnaw the ropes of the net with its sharp
teeth. Soon the lion was free. At that time the lion realized his folly of
looking down upon the more considering it weak and hateful.
Moral:
Nothing is interior in this world
Do good. have good
One good turn deserves another
Even a tiny creature may be of great help sometimes
