Letter to your brother pointing out the evils of cramming.
Examination Hall,

Dear Abuzar,
I
was greatly worried about you since you got admission to the college and joined
the Jinnah Hostel. But I am a bit satisfied to read in your letter that you
have adapted yourself to the hostel life. You are a serious and studious
student and will be burning the midnight oil to study the books and to prepare all
the lectures well in time.
Dear,
I want to draw your attention to the evils of cramming without the least
attempt to perceive the spirit of the matter. These days, students remain
busy in search of shortcut means to get through the examination. They get
cheap and short notes and guidebooks and commit a few important questions to
memory that are likely to be asked in the papers. They don't take pains of
having a perusal the Textbooks. Luckily, if those questions are set in the
examination paper and their memory works well at that time, their success is
certain otherwise, failure becomes their lot.
Remember,
the habit of cramming renders a person dull. It rusts his intelligence and
leaves him good for nothing. He always depends upon ready-made churn-tailored material and totally discards the habit of thinking for himself,
formulating any opinion, and expressing his inner self.
Therefore, request you to study the Textbooks thoroughly, think for yourself to preserve your individuality and not to mug up the ready-made material. I am certain that you will act upon my suggestions and avoid the evil of cramming the shortcut notes.
Yours
affectionately, Therefore, request you to study the Textbooks thoroughly, think for yourself to preserve your individuality and not to mug up the ready-made material. I am certain that you will act upon my suggestions and avoid the evil of cramming the shortcut notes.
