Introduction:
S.T.
Coleridge was one of the founders of romanticism of the Romantic Movement in
poetry, he with his friend William
Wordsworth, with whom he tome the innovative Lyrical Ballads in 1798. He is
best remembered today for his long historical poem! "The Rime of the
Ancient Mariner" and for his opium-dream poem, Kublai Khan, but
he was also a well-known critic and philosopher and the clout of his idea and approach
can be seen in many succeeding generations of poets.
