Context:
The poet is terrified
with the death of his neighbouring friend. Death transfers a man from this
mortal world into the eternal world. Death leaves behind extreme grief and
sorrow for the bereaved persons. The poem proves that Man is helpless before
death. The only defence against death is the love of God which supports in both
worlds. The poem justifies the reality of death as an inevitable reality.
