Poem# 8
Ozymandias
(Text & Explanation)
Reference:

These lines have been taken from the Poem "Ozymandias" written by “Percy Bysshe Shelley.”

Context:

This is a short ironic poem. The poet throws light on the mightiness of death. Those who consider themselves all-powerful must keep in mind that they are also destined to die. Their feelings of pride and superiority are nothing but self-deception. Symbolically, the poet exposes the transitoriness of life and hollowness of pride.
